The club session started with an introduction to tool sharpening by club member Mick Johns, followed by members Ian Elliott and John Christie. Several members bought along their sharpening systems, so the remainder of the session was spent sharpening tools members had bought with them. Thank you to everyone that bought their sharpening systems along - they are not the lightest of objects to carry around.

Club member and professional woodturner Helen Bailey demonstrated turning a lidded box with metal inlays in the lid. Really useful information given throughout, with lots to learn. Thank you Helen.

Club member and professional woodturner Mick Johns lead January's club session by demonstrating different techniques for turning captive rings. After that the 3 club lathes were out and club members were encouraged to have a go at turning captive rings. Thank you Mick and well done to everyone that had a go.
